Ascot Racecourse is the scene for metropolitan racing in Western Australia on Saturday afternoon with a nine-race card scheduled for Eurhythmic Stakes Day. A perfect spring day is forecast for Saturday in Perth, where we will be racing on a Good 4 to start with, while the rail comes out 6m for the entire circuit. Racing is set to get underway at 12:36pm AWST.
Eurythmic Stakes Top Tip: Resortman
The Group 3 Eurhythmic Stakes (1400m) is the feature event of the day and having won three of his last four starts, we are siding with the inform Resortman. The Michael Lane-trained six-year-old looks set to appreciate getting back to firmer going despite his results on rain-affected ground. He draws barrier two on Saturday and draws to gain the box seat upon settling throughout and under a great steer from Brad Rawiller, he looks the one to be with in the feature. Resortman is armed with a strong turn of foot and as long as he strikes clear air upon straightening, Resortman should be putting a length or two on his rivals when it matters most.

R.S. Crawford Stakes Top Tip: Wilchino
The Listed R.S. Crawford Stakes is the co-feature on Saturday and it is too hard to go past the Dan Morton-trained Wilchino who resumes off a short three-month spell. The lightly race six-year-old mare has an imposing record of nine wins from 19 starts and it is hard to knock the way she does it. She jumps cleanly from the barriers, settles up on speed and gives her rivals something to catch throughout. With rank outsider Mervyn drawn closer to the rail, look for Shaun O’Donnell to have this girl settled outside that runner throughout and when asked for an effort, Wilchino should quicken nicely and ultimately put up too much of a winning break and bring up a 10th win at her 15 starts. The $4 on offer with online bookmakers looks to be the wrong price in our opinion.

Ascot Best Bet: Swear To God
Russell Stewart brings his three-year-old colt Sweat To God back to Ascot, the track where he had plenty of success during his juvenile campaign in the autumn. He has chased home the likes of All Show and Snowdome in his career, but outside of those hotly contested races has shown he has above average ability. The son of Playing God will need a bit of luck early not to get trapped wide from barrier 10, but if Laqdar Ramoly can have this bloke settled in the one-one, the race could well be over by the first furlong. Swear To God is armed with an electric tun of foot for such an inexperience runner and with even luck should just be simply too good for this lot.

Best Value at Ascot: Upper Limits
We will be looking to build a bank early on Saturday afternoon when the Jeremy Easthope-trained Upper Limits steps out in the opener. The three-year-old gelding bought up a deserving maiden win when first-up at Northam on October 2 and looks perfectly placed to go on with job here. Back in May, he was narrowly defeated by the smart duo of Top Of The Pops and Vampi At Play when getting shaded in the shadows of the winning post. From barrier two, we expect Troy Turner to take up the running and make this a sprint to the finish line considering he should gain an uncontested lead. If it pans out like that, we expect Upper Limits to be too hard to catch late on.
