Brisbane Racing Club will host a massive 10-race card at Doomben Racecourse on Saturday afternoon. The track was rated as a Soft 5 at the time of acceptances; however, with little to no rain forecast in the lead-up, it is expected that the surface will improve into the Good range by raceday. The rail will be in the +4m position for the entire circuit, with the first race scheduled to jump at 12:12pm AEST.
Best Bet at Doomben: Diablo Bolt
After claiming consecutive wins to kick off his preparation, Diablo Bolt settled for second place behind Queen Air at the Gold Coast over 2000m last start. The Annabel Neasham & Rob Archibald-trained gelding made a searching run from the back of the field and looped his rivals before slightly peaking on his run 150m from home. Jag Guthmann-Chester will be legged back aboard for his seventh ride on this guy, and from barrier two, Diablo Bolt will receive the run of the race.

Next Best at Doomben: Mintaka Lad
Mintaka Lad has been beaten by narrow margins in both of his starts this campaign, even though he looked the winner with 100m to go in his previous run at this track and trip. The David Vandyke-trained gelding produced a gutsy performance to finish second after being stuck three-wide for most of the trip before taking off to find the front with 250m to go. With a better run in transit expected from barrier four, Mintaka Lad can go one better and break his run of outs.

Best Value at Doomben: Tectonic Plate
Daniel Bowen and Samantha Collett will combine with Tectonic Plate for the fourth straight start when the five-year-old mare returns to Doomben for the second time in her career. The daughter of Supido ran home strongly from the back of the field at the Gold Coast over 1000m, and it appears she is crying out for the extra distance of this 1200m contest. From barrier one, Tectonic Plate can settle behind the speed and give a great sight at a nice each-way price with BlondeBet.
