Wealdstone produced a massive finish in defeat at Mornington over 2050m. The five-year-old gelding was towards the rear of the field when turning for home but made up a stack of ground late. If Wealdstone can get a back to follow into the race, he should prove hard out this time over the longer straight at Bendigo.

Bigger tracks seem to suit him, so with a long home straight to build through his gears, Et Tu Brute should have no issue overhauling his rivals.
