The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained Lady Of Camelot has gained a slot for the $20 million Everest (1200m) on October 19, with James Harron Bloodstock confirming to lease their slot to Go Bloodstock on Wednesday morning.

James Harron Bloodstock took to X/Twitter to confirm the news in a statement that read in part:

“James Harron Bloodstock and Sir Owen Glenn’s Go Bloodstock have come to an agreement whereby Go Bloodstock will lease the James Harron Bloodstock slot in the 2024 Everest, with a view to running their outstanding Group 1 Golden Slipper-winning filly Lady Of Camelot, trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott.”

James Harron went on to comment on the agreement.

“It is fantastic to do a deal with Sir Owen,” said Harron.

“Lady Of Camelot is an outstanding flagship for his hugely successful breeding operation, and we are looking forward to cheering her on at Randwick in The Everest, with upside for our partners in the slot built into the deal should she run as well as we hope she can.”

Steve O’Conner commented on the agreement on behalf of Go Bloodstock.

“We are thrilled to be heading to The Everest with Lady Of Camelot,” said O’Conner.

“Winning the breed-shaping Group 1 Golden Slipper with her was an incredible achievement for Sir Own as an owner and a breeder, so to have her now heading towards The Everest will be another exciting step in a fantastic journey.”

The Waterhouse & Bott barn now have two confirmed runners for the 2024 Everest, with Coolmore confirming Storm Boy would run in their slot on Tuesday morning.

Lady Of Camelot is currently a $26.00 chance with horse racing bookmakers in futures markets for the Everest on October 19.
