Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr are aiming to achieve success in Queensland Group One races, with Amenable competing in the Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm this Saturday.

The training duo has been having a successful carnival so far, especially after Warmongers impressive victory in the Queensland Derby.

They have hopes for Amenable to contribute to their streak.

Although Amenable has shown his capability in higher-class races by finishing in four Group events, he has only secured a maiden win and a benchmark 84 victory.

Nonetheless, Kent Jnr is confident that the horse is prepared to perform following a loss in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes at Scone in his last outing.

Amenable has been assigned a weight of 52.5kg for the Stradbroke with the possibility that weights could be increased by up to 1.5kg for all horses once the final lineup is announced on Tuesday morning.

Chad Schofield has been selected as the jockey for Amenable, who’s currently priced at $11, with the top Australian bookmakers trailing behind Victory Stakes winner Antino at $6.50 with Neds.
