Dean Yendall has racked them and stacked them in the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield with Wrote To Arataki (+550) leading all the way to score.

It was an intelligent ride aboard the ever-consistent Matthew Williams-trained mare, given a relatively soft lead throughout the journey in a race that lacked pressure on paper.

It was rated perfectly by Yendall who utilized the early toe of his mare to cross and continue to victory, as Shuffle Dancer (+2500) and Call Di (+800) would be forced to settle in the minor placings.

Madame Pommery (+1100) was luckless behind a wall of horses, while the well-backed favourite Skew Wiff (+250) was a shadow disappointing on face value.

It was all about the winner post-race, however, as Matthew Williams was elated with the victory and to the ride of Yendall, while crediting his mares’ consistency.

“She’s been racing well and Dean was able to rate her perfect today,” said Williams.

“It all worked out perfect.

“She’s just so honest. The Caulfield straight is not that long but it seemed a fair way today.

“Through her career she’s been very honest. Just done a bit too much work early and that has found her out late. When you get that early part of the race right, she is very genuine.”

Dean Yendall was ecstatic to be back aboard Wrote To Arataki and reaping the rewards of the chances his been given throughout the early portion of the spring.

“It has been great to get back to where I am now with all the support behind me,” said Yendall.

“She did fly out of the machines but was able to dictate and get across at a comfortable leisure and able to get across with a nice striding gallop and relaxed within herself as much as I could her.

“Then I asked her to kick off on the turn and the rest was history.”

The next logical step for Wrote To Arataki is the Group 1 Empire Rose (1600m) on November 4, where online bookmakers have marked her an +1000 chance in futures markets.
