Karaka horseman Lance Noble has some exciting plans for his stable of talented horses. Aquacade, Habana, Luberon, and Polygon are all gearing up for the upcoming racing season.
Aquacade, a well-performed mare owned by Cambridge Stud, is set to compete in top-flight events.
Noble mentioned, “She’s definitely a good stayer, but we may keep her on the fresh side and head toward the Zabeel Classic (Group 1, 2000m).
“What I’d like to do is go to the Counties Cup (Group 3, 2100m) and a month later the Zabeel.”
He explained that there is no Group One staying race anymore, so they intend to keep her fresh.
Habana, who had a successful season last year with four wins and a second-place finish in the Group 3 Easter Handicap (1600m), is also in Noble’s plans.
Noble expressed his excitement about Habana’s potential, saying, “I’m looking at the Captain Cook Stakes (Group 1, 1600m) for him.”
Polygon, a promising filly, is gearing up for the Karaka Million (1600m) for four-year-olds as her main target.
Noble mentioned, “She’s come up very well and will trial at Ruakaka, and we’ll be aiming her at the new race, the Karaka Million.”
Lastly, Luberon, an Embellish filly, is recovering from an injury and is expected to resume racing at Te Rapa later this month.
Noble has her sights set on the Group 1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas (1600m) as her target.
With a talented team of horses and ambitious plans, Lance Noble is gearing up for an exciting racing season ahead.
