The Hawkesbury Race Club will host one of its feature racedays this Thursday afternoon, with the Listed Rowley Mile headlining an eight-race card. The track is currently rated a Heavy 8, but with no rain on the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, there is a good chance that the track could get into the Soft range by the start of the program. The rail will be in the true position for the entire circuit, with racing set to kick off at 12:40pm AEST.
Rowley Mile Tip: Bold Mac
The Listed Rowley Mile will feature seven Chris Waller runners, of which Bold Mac looks the best bet. The six-year-old gelding has been racing well of late, recording back-to-back wins at Randwick and Rosehill over 1800m, meaning he will have to drop back 200m for this race. Given that this son of The Bold One is in such good form, has a solid record on wet ground, and Kerrin McEvoy is retaining the ride, we expect him to play a prominent role in the finish.

Best Best at Hawkesbury: Coco Dreaming
The Angela Davies-trained Coco Dreaming kicked off her racing career with a nice win at Wyong over 1000m on August 3, defeating Serafima by just under a length. This four-year-old mare was given three trials before her debut and it appears to have paid off, as she let down with a very strong finishing burst to run over the top of the leader. The daughter of Pariah will appreciate the step up in distance to 1100m as well as the good amount of speed in this race. If James McDonald can have her in clear air as the field rounds the home turn, Coco Dreaming will get every chance to go back-to-back.

Next Best at Hawkesbury: Razors
After running in some nice races during his two-year-old season, Razors finally broke his maiden at Wyong on July 15 when first-up. At his last start, the James Cummings-trained gelding was made to travel three wide with no cover but was still able to finish over the top of the leaders. Boasting raceday experience against the top two-year-olds in the country, this guy should handle the rise in class to a Benchmark 64. With a similar ride to last time from barrier 11, Razors should be in the finish once again.
