It’sourtime will line up in the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap at Flemington on Saturday hoping to return to the winner’s circle.

The top betting sites have the gelded son of Time for War as a $5 chance in the 1200m contest worth $200,000.

The Danny O’Brien-trained runner returns after his third-placing in the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes on July 22, crossing the line behind Ingratiating and General Beau.

That pair also line up in Saturday’s contest as It’sourtime looks to turn the tables.

It’sourtime last won on May 13, by a length in the Listed Straight Six over the Flemington 1200m with Michael Dee onboard.

That victory was followed by a fourth-placing in a handicap race at Flemington and a runner-up finish in the Listed Santa Ana Lane Sprint Series Final, before his performance in the Bletchingly last fortnight.

Dee returns to the saddle for Saturday, the second time partnered with the horse, and they will come out of gate nine.

It’sourtime has raced 20 times for four wins and 11 placings, with $562,425 in prize money banked for connections.

Online bookmakers have the Shawn Mathrick-trained Cause For Concern as race favourite at $4.80, with It’sourtime, General Beau ($6), Ingratiating ($6.50), and Much Much Better ($9.50) as the other hopes paying single digits.

Last year’s Aurie’s Star Handicap was taken out by Sirius Suspect, beating home Stageman by 1.25 lengths with Shooting For Gold in third.
