In case you missed it – Rufiano, Cybertruck and Zara Marnie

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of runs from around Victoria that have caught the eye over the past fortnight.

#1 RUFIANO (Box 5)
Breeding:
Mar ’19 My Bro Fabio x Jasocate
Trainer: Ricky Jarvis, Hazelwood North
Record: 48 starts 15-10-8

Dale says: This was a brilliant win by Rufiano for a number of reasons.

Given the quality of opposition, overall time (29.51 seconds) and the way he gave them a start, navigated his way through the field and then powered home to victory makes this a most spectacular edition of Sale’s annual Summer Cup Final (520m).

#2 CYBERTRUCK (Box 8)
Breeding:
Dec ’19 Barcia Bale x Poise
Trainer: Matt Johnson, Mirboo North
Record: 25 starts 14-1-0

Dale says: It is hard to ignore a track record run and that is exactly what Cybertruck achieved in this display of pure strength and speed setting new figures for the 500m when posting a ridiculous 27.262 seconds.

Cybertruck knocked more than a length off the previous time standard set by Black Sail (27.336 seconds).

#3 ZARA MARNIE (Box 8)
Breeding:
Mar ’21 Bernardo x Tidelina
Trainer: Des Douch, Maffra
Record: 2 starts 2-0-0

Dale says: In just her second race start, Zara Marnie scorched around Sale to take out the GRV VicBred Maiden Final (440m) in dominant fashion.

Stopping the clock at 24.38 seconds, this was one of the fastest times we have seen at the track since the great Aston Bolero broke the track record in 24.30 seconds way back in 2016.
