The Stir Up featuring Amron Boy, Rejuvenate and Euler Bale

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Gents, we have another jam-packed period of feature greyhound racing, and it is highlighted by the Group 1 Sportsbet Silver Chief Final at The Meadows this Saturday night.

Gerard  Rejuvenate lived up to the hype with his outstanding 11-length victory last Saturday night. Can he possibly replicate his heat performance and win for the 11th time at start 13?

Trent  Rejuvenate appeared to have set the time standard until Amron Boy thrashed his rivals. The Phoenix-bound runner has a great chance to break through at Group level.

Quilts  Those two greyhounds were devastating, Trent. Euler Bale was impressive in his heat over a field including Melbourne Cup champion Yachi Bale, and he can’t be underestimated.

Gerard  Landyn Bale has won over 50 percent of his races and has the advantage of Box 1 as well, Quilts, while Scofflaw also has a strong strike rate of 10 wins from 24 starts.

Trent  Tonight’s Premier Racing at Sandown Park features six heats of the Group 2 Laurels. Silver Bullet winner Kelsey Bale and the promising Responder is a great duel in the fifth heat.

Quilts  The SA Oaks winner Yahiro Bale returns from almost three months off in the second heat, while Baby Jaycee is in the third heat after her runs during the Dream Chasers Festival.

Gerard  Seven heats of the Group 1 Hobart Thousand are also taking place this evening. This year’s country cups king Typhoon Sammy and Melbourne Cup runner-up Fernando Mick headline the Victorian contingent.

Quilts  Sunday night’s Sale Distance Championship Final whets the appetite for the Sale Cup heats on December 18. Sale Cup champion Jarick Bale and Aston Velvet are the stars.

Trent  We cannot forget about the all-important box draw for The Phoenix, which is taking place this Sunday from 10am on Thrill of the Chase. Phew, I think we squeezed everything in!
