Three reasons to go to the Sportsbet Topgun at The Meadows Saturday night

If you haven’t heard already, we are officially counting down to the 2022 Dream Chasers Festival.

For seven weeks, we invite you to participate in the world’s richest greyhound racing series at The Meadows and Sandown Park. History will be made, dreams will be created and memories will be shared. It all starts at The Meadows on Saturday November 5. Are you ready?

If you still need convincing, here’s three reasons why you should come along to the Sportsbet Topgun on Saturday night.

History in the making
On November 5, we create racing history. It marks the beginning of something special – the Sportsbet Dream Chasers Festival. This is a chance to welcome people back to the track and see greyhound racing lit up like never before. Surely you want to be on track – it’s the right side of history and the best way to experience all the action.

The Sportbet Topgun
The Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun is a field of dreams, hand selected by a panel of experts who calculate the eight best greyhounds racing has to offer. It’s one chance to prove who is the best sprinter around – no heats, just straight final.

As a big greyhound fan, it is always exciting to see who’s name will join the likes of Shima Shine, Up Hill Jill and Fernando Bale as winners of the mighty Topgun at The Meadows. It also wouldn’t be Topgun night if we didn’t mention the Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun Stayers and the Hume Cup. What a night of racing!

Something for everyone!
One thing we know for certain ahead of the Dream Chasers Festival is that racing fans are covered. There will be three Group 1’s over all three distances. On top of that, there will be world class entertainment throughout the night, with special guests such as DJ Dan Watt and DJ Mikey Cahill lighting up the night in sound.

What about food I hear you ask… well general admission is $10 (kids under 18 free), which gets you in the venue, access to all outdoor entertainment and a racebook.

$45 will get you The Dish package which includes three drinks, food vouchers ($70 value), access to all outdoor entertainment and a racebook.

The Deck… has anyone ever had a bad time on a deck? The deck package will set you back $95 and gives you five beverage vouchers, grazing finger food, access to all entertainment and a race book.

If that doesn’t satisfy you, we’ve got the perfect thing! Warning, you’ll need to get your cocktail attire out for the First Place Marquee! For only $115 you can get an all-inclusive beverage package, grazing finger food, access to all outdoor entertainment and a race book.

Need more? The Temlee Room Dining is for the fancy. $130 gives you a 3-course meal, all inclusive beverage package, live music, access to all entertainment and a race book. The views from the dining room means you can see everything The Meadows has to offer. And the chef Nelly, he is pretty bloody spectacular! My mouth is watering thinking about it.

Surely by now you don’t want to miss out!
