The Phillip Stokes-trained Daqiansweet Junior will be one of the horses who is a proven stayer, with all bar one of his wins coming at 2000m plus.
Daqiansweet Junior ran third in the Sydney Cup back in April of this year, however, that is the last time that he has finished in the placings.

Can Daqiansweet Junior win The Cup?
The form that Daqiansweet Junior brings to the Melbourne Cup this campaign just isn’t good enough to take out the Melbourne Cup. Despite finishing third in the Sydney Cup on a Heavy 10, he has only been placed on one other occasion from eight starts on rain-affected ground in much easier races than this. With a Heavy track expected, Daqiansweet Junior simply cannot win.
