Geelong Racecourse is the destination for Friday afternoon racing in Victoria this week and Horsebetting’s Victorian form expert is confident he can steer you into a winner or three. With plenty of rain in Geelong and surrounding areas, we will be racing on a Heavy 9, whilst the rail is out 6m the entire circuit. Historically, the track plays fairly throughout when rain-affected, so we expect each runner who handles the conditions, will get their chance.
The day of racing is set to get underway at 1pm AEST.
Best Bet at Geelong – Mixmulti
We were with the Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained Mixmulti when she finished second behind Brookline at Ballarat on May 29 and we expect if she repeats something close to that effort, she is going to take a power of beating. Prior to that run, the three-year-old filly relished the Heavy 8 conditions at Bendigo over 1300m when getting the win by a narrow margin in an effort which screamed out she will only get better the further she steps out in trip. The Swear filly gets that on Friday, going around in a 1733m BM64 and is coming up against a bunch of perennial non-winners. From barrier 10, look for Dean Holland to have the filly settled either outside the leader or in the one-one. If the pair are afford that type of luxury, then Mixmulti should prove too good for this bunch.

Next Best at Geelong – Bazini
The Symon Wilde-trained Bazini looks to be stayer on the rise and despite getting the job done at Hamilton last time out by the barest of margins over 2200m, we anticipate the Dundeel gelding will appreciate every bit of the 2440m on Friday. The win at Hamilton came on a genuine Heavy 10 and with similar conditions expected when third-up we expect his ability to handle the conditions and race fitness will prove beneficial. Prior to his last start win, he settled towards the rear of the field at this track over 2200m on a Soft 5, to be beaten a nostril. From barrier 12, Harry Coffey will most likely have him settled towards the rear once again and we expect a repeat effort of both of his runs this campaign will have him fighting out the finish. Bazini looks to be a perfect bank builder for your online betting sites accounts.

Best Value at Geelong – Rolling Moss
The Shawn Mathrick-trained Rolling Moss was a dominant winner at Echuca on June 2 in similar conditions that is set to greet him at Geelong on Friday. The eight-year-old gelding used his early speed to his advantage and managed to lead the field throughout, where he then kicked clear in the home straight to record a 3.75 length rout. The Moshe gelding is clearly a wet track specialist, with eight of his 10 career wins coming when he has been able to get his toe into the ground. With race fitness on his side and the ability to handle a genuine heavy, we expect Craig Newitt to use barrier three to his advantage, dictate terms and ultimately prove too hard to run down in the final race of the day.
