New South Wales racing on ANZAC Day heads to Kensington for a competitive eight-race card, so HorseBetting’s racing analyst has previewed the meeting and brings you his best bets, value bet and quaddie numbers. More wet conditions are expected, with the track rated a Heavy 10, while the rail is in the true position for the entire course. The first race of the afternoon is scheduled to jump at 12:45pm AEST.
Best Bet at Kensington – Forever You
In the ANZAC Day Cup (2400m), Annabel Neasham’s Forever You can make it back-to-back wins after proving too good at Warwick Farm a month ago. The four-year-old mare by Galileo has won three of her past four races by almost eight lengths in total, so she has been simply too good of late. She does go up in weight a fair amount to 59kg, so that is a slight knock on the heavy track, but she is a two-time Heavy track winner which is certainly an advantage. There’s no reason why she can’t win again.

Next Best at Kensington – Bella Rouge
Bella Rouge is an interesting galloper – she has shown plenty of ability but seems to put in a stinker every now and then, even though she’s only had three starts. The three-year-old filly has started sub-$5 in all four of her starts, winning her most recent outing at the end of last prep on this track. That was on a hard Good 3 track, so the Heavy 10 is a genuine concern, however James McDonald hops back aboard and she seemed to handle it in a barrier trial when second to Banana Queen on March 22. The market support for her in her four runs suggest she has ability, so we don’t want to be against her on Monday.
Next Best
Race 2 – #3 Bella Rouge (4)
3yo Filly | T: Chris Waller | J: James McDonald (60kg)

Best Value at Kensington – Made By Khan
Adam Duggan and Josh Parr combine in the penultimate race with Made By Khan, a four-year-old gelding who rarely does run a bad race. The son of Mongolian Khan put in a below-average run when first-up at Warwick Farm when beaten 10 lengths, but he was caught in no man’s land from the outside alley. Now second-up, out to 1800m and onto a Heavy 10 track should suit. The horse has never missed a top-two finish on a heavy track. If he can find the front from barrier four, he will take some catching.
Best Value
Race 7 – #2 Made By Khan (5)
4yo Gelding | T: Adam Duggan | J: Joshua Parr (61.5kg)
