After just three races at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, March 26, Racing New South Wales Stewards made the decision to postpone the remainder of the meeting due to inclement weather.
With just the Midway Handicap, Schweppervescence and Neville Selwood Stakes run and won on the Group 1 race day, visibility and the state of the track impacted the meeting, with participants claiming the track to be unsafe.
Channel 7’s Lizzie Jelfs said on the broadcast that “the meeting had been postponed due to the state of the track.”
“The jockeys in there were just not happy with how the track was playing,” she said.
“There was a concern at the top of the straight at the bend where there’s been a lot of wear and tear, and they’ve come to the conclusion that the meeting has been postponed.”
