Fastest heat winner Lala Kiwi will have to overcome box four in Saturday’s night’s TAB Australian Cup final.
The draw for the $300,000 to-the-winner final was conducted on Sunday morning, after eight sensational heats were run last night.
With inside boxes considered a big advantage over the 525m journey, Lala Kiwi looks well placed, especially considering her star kennelmate Zippy Tesla (box 3) has a tendency to cut hard to the rail at box rise.
Orlando, trained by little known Lee Moore at Bagshot, came up with the coveted box one, the best performed draw over the track/distance in the past 12 months.
