HorseBetting’s New South Wales form analyst has previewed the seven-race card at Wyong on Tuesday afternoon and brings you his best bets and quaddie numbers for the meeting. The track is rated a Good 4, while the rail is out just 3m for the entire course. The first race will jump at 1:50pm AEDT.
Wyong Best Bet – Per Ivy
Matthew Smith and Jason Collett combine in the final race of the day with Per Ivy, a three-year-old by Per Incanto. Having had just two career starts, this filly won on debut at this track over 1000m on November 25, before running third in Class 2 company on December 29. Smith has now dropped her back in grade to a Class 1, which sees her exceptionally well placed over 1200m. Drawn in barrier eight, Collett is likely to cruise forward and look for a prominent position before taking off on the bend. She looks a standout on Tuesday.
Next Best at Wyong – Summerbeel
We are hoping we can bookend the card on Tuesday with Per Ivy in the last and Summerbeel in the opener. This Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained filly has only had one start, which came back on December 12, 2020, where she started $4 in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes at Doomben. The now-three-year-old has had a lengthy break, but she comes into this first-up assignment on the back of two good trials including a recent second to Warmth, who went on to win the Magic Millions Maiden on Saturday at the Gold Coast. Regan Bayliss rode Summerbeel in that trial and he obviously liked her enough to want to stay aboard on her debut, which is a big push. As is the case with most of this stable’s runners, Summerbeel is most likely going to lead from barrier three, which will make her very hard to beat.
Wyong Value Bet – Miss Bosetti
Peter & Paul Snowden will leg Tommy Berry up aboard Miss Bosetti in the penultimate in one of the weakest races she has contested in a little while. The Snitzel mare boasts some pretty handy form early on in her career as a two- and three-year-old, but she hasn’t quite found that form at four. Having not won since February last year, Miss Bosetti hasn’t been beaten all that far at Listed level on a few occasions. Now coming back to a Benchmark 64 against her own sex, she gets in with 61kg and has drawn to box seat from barrier two. If she can catch the breaks in the straight, she may be very competitive in this.
