Rebellious Cats?

Cats’ fans should find tonight’s ‘rebel rousing’ AFL/Greys offer from TAB irresistible!

The betting giant’s $2.70 proposition is for Geelong to defeat Essendon at the “Cattery” and rising star Rebellious to prove ‘defiant’ at Bendigo.

The Cats – who were ‘mauled’ by the Lions by 44pts last week – are 5th on the AFL ladder with 10 wins, while the Bombers – who went down to top-of-the-ladder Melbourne by 11pts – are 11th, with six wins.

Meanwhile, the Jason Thompson-trained Rebellious is TAB’s $2.00 favourite in the $15,000 to-the-winner The Prospector final (425m).

Rebellious has won seven races from only nine starts and last week semaphored a sizzling 23.47sec in a heat of The Prospector – only two lengths outside superstar Shima Shine’s 425m track record, set on June 28 last year.

He was also third in the Pink Diamond Rookie Short Course final at Bendigo and is two from three over this track/distance. And he’s unbeaten in two starts from the ‘yellow’ trap.

The Round 16 encounter between Geelong v Essendon at GMHBA Stadium starts at 7.50pm, while Rebellious is in Race 8 Box 5 at 9.28pm.

WATCH: Rising star Rebellious (8) clocks a mind-boggling 23.47sec in a heat of The Prospector – only 2L off superstar Shima Shine’s 425m track record.
