TAB’s ‘tribal’ temptation!

There’ll be no love lost between traditional rivals Richmond and Essendon on Saturday night.

But the added value for the ‘tribe’ at Tigerland is TAB’s tantalising AFL/Greys offer.

The betting giant has ‘spoken’ with a tempting $4.20 proposition for the Tigers to defeat the Bombers and ‘comeback king’ Christo Bale winning at The Meadows.

Richmond is eighth on the AFL ladder with six wins, while Essendon is ninth with five wins.

Last week, the Tigers ‘mauled’ the Adelaide Crows by 28pts while the Bombers ‘clipped the wings’ of the West Coast Eagles by 16pts.

Meanwhile, Christo Bale – TAB’s $2.30F – is chasing his fifth successive win in a Gr8 Eight special event (525m).

Trained by Mark Delbridge at Balliang, Christo Bale has won 24 races (with 10 seconds and 10 thirds) from 59 starts – including 10 wins from 24 starts over 525m at The Meadows, with a sizzling 29.61sec PB.

One of the sport’s most versatile greyhounds, Christo Bale has contested six Group 1 finals, including runner-up in the Hume Cup (600m) and a third placing in the TAB Topgun (525m) – both at The Meadows. He also won the G2 McKenna Memorial (595m) at Sandown Park.

Delbridge and his wife, Lisa, have enjoyed a whirlwind greyhound racing ‘romance’ during the past couple of weeks, with the highlight being Zipping Rambo’s G1 Sandown Cup (715m) and G3 Racecallers Speed Star (595m) victories.

The Tigers v Bombers clash at Optus Stadium, WA – due to Victoria’s latest COVID-19 lockdown – commences at 7.40pm, while Christo Bale is in Race 8 Box 1 at 8.57pm.

WATCH: Christo Bale (7) notches his fourth win in a row, registering a strong 29.85sec victory at The Meadows last week.
