Gotham Duke to prove a Shepparton Cup superhero?

Form expert The Watchdog has nigh hopes about the prospects of Gotham Duke in the G2 C.K.H Painting Shepparton Cup (450m) ahead of Monday night’s heats.

Mel Lithgow’s speedster will face off against series favourite Catch The Thief and Tasmanian sensation Wynburn Sheean in the third heat at 8.26pm, however he is in exceptional form and he has the advantage of box one.

“Box one will be a huge key for Gotham Duke. He’s been placed in all four tries from that draw. He has got genuine early speed and on Horsham Cup night he ran (26.89sec Best of Night) quicker than the Cup winner Shima Shine.”

“At $31 to win and $8.50 to place I think that’s well over the odds.”

Catch The Thief heads the ‘All In’ market at $5, followed by Equalizer and Tiggerlong Tonk, who are both at $6, however The Watchdog believes there is little value among the favourites.

The first of five heats kicks off at 7.43pm on Monday night with the winners and three fastest 2nd placegetters to qualify for the $67,000 final on Saturday 20 March.
