The Local has been enjoying all the country harness racing and is looking forward to the return to Methven action at Mt. Harding om Sunday and here is his twenty cents worth…
Race 1 – Terrific field but we think start the day off with a bolter the beautifully bred Dreamsinthemist to nose out favourite Aldabaron Floss and consistent wee, multis Shifty and Random Jude.
Race 2 – Another even lot but from his good draw King Arthur to beat awkwardly drawn Fraud and Le Pole Dancer, others local President Pat and Zircon Lass.
Race 3 – With her good manners MissMollyGoodGolly to beat promising Yankee Jay and Lady Godiva’s mate Starkers. Multis Is He Watching Me and Bromac Hype.
Race 4 – Sally Lindenny deserves to be favourite over Show Me The Gray both from good draws and tough old veteran Foreigner extras D.D’s Super Stuart and Line A Love.
Race 5 – Southern visitor Beta Than Love to head She’s Watching and another who is better than his form in Reggie Go Lightly multis improving Piece Of Gold and soon to be married Morries Girl.
Race 6 – Beyond The Horizon to add to his good course record in a really challenging field over Prince Ranier who was a touch unlucky recently and Momentous, extras Time In A Bottle and fresh up Craddock.
Race 7 – Smaller field but just as tough, follow the old adage a good colt will always beat a good filly and Coravally Star to beat Sweet Belle but little between them, with Got You Covered to run third multis Dashtothebeach and Boorah.
Race 8 – Kiss The Girls at odds with Rocknroll King and Jake to make a massive trifecta, favoured runners Blue Chip Delight and She’s Tough to add to the mix.
Race 9 – Kaikoura visitor Donegal Carrickfin to beat favoured runner Ultimate Rocker and from the ace Star Reactor, multis Myrcella and Lydia.
Race 10 – Top trotter in the making Aveross Majesty to beat money machine Bright Glow and Prince Teka extras Sunswinger and Midnight Assassin.
Race 11 – Southlander Mickey Fitz to be part of a good day for Southlanders over Magical Ideal and Spanner, for multis honest little Pine Cone and badly drawn Johnny Eyre.
Race 12 – Glen Elgin Tomson who loves it here over talented stayer in Givemewhatineed and John James Preston extras Sister’s Delight and R.K.Finn.
