As predicted, Bobby showed plenty of Brute

Punters may recall The Watchdog selecting Bobby The Brute as the standout selection in the Sale Cup ‘All In’ market.

Brendan Pursell’s greyhound opened up at $51 to win and $13.50 to place.

“Bobby The Brute is my value runner for the entire series, especially for the place at $13.50,” The Watchdog said on 19 December, the day before the heats.

The assessment proved spot on, with Bobby The Brute (pictured above in rug 3) crashing his way past the classy Weblec Ace before running third in the final.

Bobby The Brute ended up paying $4 a place for running third in the final, with early-bird punters that snapped up the $13.50 left laughing the loudest.

A son of KC And All x She’s Scandalous, Bobby The Brute has now been placed in country cups after running a brilliant 2nd to Simon Told Helen in the Geelong Gold Cup in October.
