Sadly, after 357 games, it will be the ‘last hurrah’ for Geelong’s “little master” Gary Ablett… What a champion!
The dual Brownlow medallist (2009 & 2013) is eyeing his third premiership medal in tonight’s history-making AFL Grand Final. Ablett won a flag with the Cats in 2007 and 2009.

Meanwhile, the Brett Nye-trained Last Hurrah – a finalist in the G1 Australian Cup and runner-up in the G2 McKenna Memorial – has won nine of his past 13 starts – including his last five in a row. In fact, he’s only been unplaced twice in his past 22 starts!
The Geelong Cats v Richmond clash at the Gabba commences at 7.30pm, while Last Hurrah is in Race 6 Box 4 at 8.28pm.
