Race 1

8 Jaimes Bad Boy: Smashed them at Forbury last week after blowing it at Timaru the week before. Enigmatic, but talented. Right lady in the bike to win again.

13 Highland Reign: Class performer of the field here, but often disappointing when off the grass tracks. Should step up but the jury is out at this stage.

7 Glacier Coaster: Form on the board and going well. We’ll forgive last start. Likely to go forward here early and a chance if able to find a good spot.

12 All Nuts N Bolts: Just doesn’t know when to run a bad race and won’t leave much to chance here tonight. Can grind them down.

Selections: 8-13-7-12

Race 2

7 Koromiko Eyre: First up for the Regan Todd barn tonight after some decent enough runs recently. Beach life might bring out the best in him. Nice chance.

2 El Capitan: Got plenty of form on the board and won’t mind a race like this. Should roll forward, be handy and give them plenty to chase.

3 Sweet Loress: Doesn’t win them out of turn, but is more than capable of doing exactly that. Just needs the luck to unfold. Nice chance here.

6 Johnny Eyre: Bounced back to racing with a strong third after showing plenty out of the gate last week. Can produce similar here with a race under the belt.

Selections: 7-2-3-6

Race 3

5 Madam Sass: Might not have been completely at home on the grass on debut. Better suited here and with manners should take all sorts of beating.

11 Superfast Lad: Valiant in defeat yet again last week and must be rewarded with a winning turn soon. No real concerns over manners etc a big plus.

14 Steel Dust: Was looping into it nicely at Methven before the gallop. Has the motor and when he gets it all together, look out.

8 Inherent Royal: Has shown a fair bit of ability at workouts and trials and right man in the bike to make things happen here on debut.

Selections: 5-11-14-8

Race 4

1 Deny Everything: Was hard not to be impressed with the debut effort for third. Gets a nice draw here and should be able to make the presence felt.

7 Storm: Big run on debut for second and given time since. Held in high regard and expected to produce a big run here tonight.

4 Dream Of Glory: Not bad on debut last week, but stable expected a little more. Can turn that around here from a handy draw.

6 Chase The Hat Trick: Grinding type who might look to find a forward spot here and keep them honest. Best form would be more than good enough.

Selections: 1-7-4-6

Race 5

13 Matua Tana: Patience might be wearing thin but the day you leave him alone is the day he does it right and delivers a big blow. Raw talent. Bad manners.

7 Monrika: Well over the odds considering the form prior to last time out’s flop. So much better than that one run and a good each way hope here.

8 Diana Harbour: Continues to race in a rich vein of form and she’s the sort of horse you just can’t leave out of calculations because she’s always right there.

14 Majestic Hurricane: Raw speed and talent a plenty but can often be own worst enemy. Good enough to rock up and roll this lot. Danger.

Selections: 13-7-8-14

Race 6

6 Amazing Dream: Took on the older girls and was too good for them last time out. Should repeat the dose tonight, albeit in a stronger field.

8 Spellbound: Second in the Jewels last season and workout and trial form has been nice so expecting her to produce a big effort here tonight in a fresh state.

4 Plutonium Lady: Found the front down south and never really looked back. Smart wee filly who will win her fair share of races. Can get some of this too.

7 Need You Now: Task too big down south behind Plutonium Lady. Might be the same here too but is more than capable of figuring.

Selections: 6-8-4-7

Race 7

9 One Change: In cruise control to win here in a fresh state last week. Did it as he liked. Wide draw here tonight but class above most and still the one to beat.

13 Italian Lad: Hard not to be impressed with his effort late here last week for third. Clearly a raw talent, but a work in progress too. Good chance tonight.

6 Flying Even Bettor: Hit the line with purpose last week and the harder they go, the better suited he is. Can round off strongly here once again too.

2 Aqua Sancta: Probably a bit underwhelming in last couple, but the boss sticks with the ship and that’s got to mean something. Don’t dismiss.

Selections: 9-13-6-2

Race 8

14 Sioux Princess: Raw talent a plenty but often her own worst enemy. No surprise to see her romp home over the top of them here and get the win.

3 Miss Moppet: Always lands in the right places and gives herself a good shot and expecting nothing much will change here in that regard. Each way hope.

7 Quaestor: No form to speak of but best form is good enough to win a race like this and the mobile conditions do help a lot. Don’t leave her out.

16 Tonique De Feu: Always carries plenty of money but will have to be very good to get a big slice of the action from this draw tonight.

Selections: 14-3-7-16

Race 9

3 A Delightful Act: Three very good runs to kick the campaign off and should finally be able to get her name on the winners’ sheet tonight from the handy draw.

11 Freddiesam: Ran home OK after getting it wrong last time out. Wearing the right kind of colours so only the brave would consider him not a winning chance.

1 Street Appeal: There’s been plenty to like about all the runs so far to open the career and looks set to land in a good spot here too. Each way chance at odds.

8 Georgie Zukov: Has been a bit more like we expected in last couple of efforts. Dangerous when saved up for that one run and that will likely be the approach here.

Selections: 3-11-1-8

Race 10

6 Letterkenny Boy: Got into too late and trapped wide fresh up. Should be better for that run and looks awfully hard to beat tonight from the draw.

7 Tango Tara: Talented pacer back from a spell after winning two in a row in emphatic fashion. Interested to see how good he comes back. Chance in a fresh state.

4 Kotare Yolande: Talented but sometimes erratic pacer who if in the right head space could deal to this lot. Might need a run or two though.

2 Tall Poppy: Will be better for the fresh up run and gets a good draw to work from here. Best version is more than competitive.

Selections: 6-7-4-2

BEST: 3 A Delight Act (Race 9)

NEXT: 6 Letterkenny Boy (Race 10)

VALUE: 7 Koromiko Eyre (Race 2)
