Jockey Rachel King believes Riduna has the ability to win the Golden Pendant at Rosehill on Saturday. In fine form, Rachel King believes Riduna can help her keep the wins coming in the Golden Pendant at Rosehill on Saturday. Tijuana wins G2 Stutt Stakes, eyes Caulfield Guineas

Tijuana, pictured after winning on ANZAC day, won the Group 2 Stutt Stakes on Friday night. He might’ve had winkers on, but Tijuana can now look ahead and believe in his chances for the Caulfield Guineas. That was the message from trainer Ben Hayes after his half-length victory in the $300,000 Group 2 Stutt Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night. Mark Zahra made his move aboard the three-year-old colt at the 250m mark in the mile feature, and the $2.30 winning chance with Ladbrokes was too good from there.…

Queen Of The Ball claims Scarborough Stakes

Queen Of The Ball wins the 2022 Scarborough Stakes. Going up against the more-fancied Troach and English Riviera, Queen Of The Ball showed her tenacity to prevail from start to finish in the $200,000 Scarborough Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night. Expertly ridden by star jockey Blake Shinn, the three-year-old jumped to the front inside the first 200m from barrier seven while finding the rail, because Shinn knew Michael Freedman’s sprinter had the heart to be a frontrunner and prevail. And the $5.50 chance with Ladbrokes did it easy,…

Atishu on song for Shannon Stakes

Trainer Chris Waller believes Atishu has been the forgotten runner from the Gr.2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m). The Savabeel five-year-old finished seventh first-up in the race a fortnight ago, which was won by her stablemate Kiku. “She ran terrific first-up,” Waller said of the mare raced by New Zealand syndicator Go Racing. “Everyone spoke about the winner Kiku but this horse ran pretty well. She didn’t get a lot of clear room.” Waller has been pleased with her progress ahead of the Gr.2 Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday…
