Australasia’s darling of the turf, Verry Elleegant (NZ) (Zed), is heading to Europe and will join leading French trainer Francis-Henri Graffard. “We know she is a world class stayer who needs 2400m+ to show her true ability, but we expect her to be weighted out of the Cups and as such there are limited options for her domestically,” Verry Elleegant’s ownership group said in a statement. “After much deliberation we came to the realisation that if we want to campaign her in Europe, we need to do it properly and…

Trans-Tasman weekend for Tylers
Aimee Tyler has been enjoying her time holding the fort at home while her father and training partner Kelvin Tyler has been campaigning a team in Queensland. “I am really enjoying it and the weather has been good so far, which makes it a bit nicer,” Tyler said. “Being a young mum, it is just trying to find the balance, but I have enjoyed knuckling down and having a go.” Tyler said her father has been really enjoying his time in Australia, despite the inclement weather. “He is loving it…

The beautifully-bred Tuahine settled toward the back of the field on the rail and rider Michael Dee was able to get her off…

Apart from the addition of a new option allowing participants to wear black shorts or a black skirt during Daylight Savings time, there is no change to the…
