Warrnambool stakes to be divided equally

Prize money from yesterday’s cancelled race meeting at Warrnambool will be divided equally amongst runners for each race, in addition to Travel and Starters Fees. GRV reached the decision after consultation with GOTBA, in light of the circumstances and short notice associated with the cancellation. Manual payments of the prize money will be made accordingly. A replacement date for the cancellation of Warrnambool’s race meeting on Wednesday 18 May will be announced shortly. Due to the inconsistent track surface at Warrnambool which resulted in the cancellation of the club’s race meeting on Monday 16 May, it has been agreed that a full harrow and track reinstatement is carried out immediately. Contractors have been confirmed and track works will commence on Tuesday 17 May, with the race meeting scheduled for Wednesday 18 May also cancelled.
