The two favourites drew potentially the worst two barriers when South Coast Arden got barrier 7 and Self Assured the outside of the gate barrier 8 for the 2200m mobile. Joao Moreira hits 100 wins to claim lead in Hong Kong jockeys’ championship

Aptly named Running Glory catapults ‘Magic Man’ to the century. Accelerating a push for a fifth jockeys’ championship, Joao Moreira surged to a century of winners in a Hong Kong season for the seventh time with a double at Sha Tin on Sunday (April 10), crowning the triple-figure milestone by also wresting the lead in the race to the 2021/22 title from arch-rival Zac Purton. Reaching three figures in a Hong Kong season has become almost a formality for Moreira since his arrival here in 2013/14, but the Brazilian’s elation…

Ong bags four winners at Kranji

Trainer Jason Ong bagged a four-timer on Saturday, a timely welcome for his family who, along with many owners, were finally allowed back at the races after a long time. Per Incrown, a recent stable transfer from fellow Singaporean trainer Jerome Tan, and newcomer Surrey Hills put on…
