Bathurst Gold Crown night wrap
By Adam Hamilton STAR filly Dr Susan added some serious Kiwi flavour to Bathurst’s huge Gold Crown night, but not without a scare. Just as she did in the Victoria Oaks, the Cran Dalgety and Nathan Purdon-trained filly galloped in the score-up and caused a false start. Thankfully, she got everything right in the Victoria Oaks and did the same at take-two at Bathurst when she surged through from the pole to hold the lead. That was effectively the race because driver Anthony Butt then rated things to his own…
Racing Industry Taking Steps in the Face of COVID-19 Threat
Leaders of New Zealand’s racing industry are working closely together to combat the threat posed to the sector from COVID-19. Purdon and Dalgety team ready to resume

The handbrake that has put harness racing on hold across the country is set to be released when the first of nine races gets underway at noon. While the break has been a major headache for stables across the country and disastrous for the TAB, it has brought some small silver linings. The Cran Dalgety and Nathan Purdon trained pairing of Chevron Action…

Obviously, the star of the show is Bronski Beat who will contest the Group 1 Sandown Cup (715m) on Thursday night. (He will line up in Race 6, Box 8 at 7.42pm.)
