New York racetracks cleared for reopening
New York governor Andrew Cuomo has given racecourses in the state clearance to resume racing behind closed doors from June 1. Racing has been suspended in New York, which encompasses tracks such as Belmont Park, Aqueduct and Saratoga, since March 19 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jockey Jenny Duggan is recovering from multiple injuries after she was one of two riders involved in a serious race fall that marred the Scone Cup meeting.
