Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux has been named Japan’s Horse of the Year, receiving 271 votes from a possible 274. Racing Queensland has joined other thoroughbred industry bodies in pledging $15,000 to the bushfire appeal. At the opening of the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast, chief executive Brendan Parnell said Racing Queensland was keen to support other industry participants including Thoroughbred Breeders Australia who were helping with the fire appeal.
